Manohar has steered the organisation in its strategic vision to be one of the most admired corporate entities in India. He also oversees the company’s endeavours into allied fields along with lending his expert advice as a panellist on the board for various other organizations.

He earned his Masters in Commerce Degree from University of Mumbai before venturing into professional curriculum of Company Secretary which he completed in 1989. He also has a Degree in Law to his credit.

He is a proud recipient of the prestigious ‘Yashashree 2008’ award, given by the Maharashtra Times, in recognition and honour of his achievements across various industry segments. Recently in January 2012, he was awarded with ‘Maratha UdyogBhushan Award’ owing to his contribution to the state’s business fraternity.

After establishing himself as successful Consultant in Corporate Laws and Finance, he used his expertise knowledge to co-found Zicom in 1995. His vision while setting up the organisation came from his passion to make a difference to the society at large. He sees stake-holders, employees, customers, and vendors as co-partners and believes strongly in creating value proposition in associating with them. He passionately states that employees and stake-holders should be recipients of the wealth that the organisation creates.

Since 1994, the year Zicom Electronic Security Systems Ltd was founded, Pramoud Rao has led the ‘Electronic Security’ movement in India in many ways. In the process, he also made Zicom a name synonymous with security. The company has been on the fore front with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, a complete package of innovative services, and giving a new meaning to the word 'security' implying safety as a service to the society and not merely a lip service.

Rao has been a trendsetter in well exhibiting the launch of his innovative concept called "e-SaaS" (Electronic Security as a Service) & distinguishing the company as a Quality Differentiator in the industry.

A chemistry graduate, Pramoud, pioneered the organization through a strategic and visionary approach despite many hurdles, trials & tribulations. With his wit & exuberance, he has spearheaded a remarkable turn-around story ensuring that it attains a dominant stature in the electronic security industry.

Being the former National President of Fire & Security Association of India, his commitment in fostering values-based leadership to encourage the members has been commendable. His single point focus to incorporate their work the ideals and ideas has helped the organization in defining their actions as per a good society. Pramoud is also the former Security Ambassador for Schneider Electric-Asia Pacific Region and has been on the management board of several companies in India and overseas. He has earned encomiums for serving the causes of security industry and has to his credit many national & international honours bestowed upon him.
